Introduction
Papimi device is therapeutic electromagnetic impulse generator, producing non-thermal electromagnetic pulses of high instantaneous power, very short duration and ultra-fast rise time.
It belongs to the general group of magnetotherapy devices, a well-known and established method in
physiotherapy. This modality is also known as Pulsed ElectroMagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy, when the
electromagnetic field produced is pulsed. Application is non-invasive, contactless (even over clothing)
performed via the application coil connected to the device, locally with the plane of the coil in parallel and over
the body area to be treated. The Electromagnetic Field induces in the tissues electrical fields and currents, also
known as “eddy-currents”.
The operation of the device is absolutely safe for both the patient and the operator. Moreover, the application is easy, painless, non-invasive, over the clothes and ofcourse without increasing the exposed tissues’ temperature. It should be noted that after thirty years of use so far, no negative side effects have ever been reported.
Applications
The secret of success lies in the characteristics of the magnetic pulses emitted. More specifically, the pulses are very short in duration (instant) but carrying extremely high power. Thus, high penetration is achieved even in deeper tissues.
Typical application time is 6-18minutes per session, 2-3 sessions per week. It can be used for various indications, in combination with any other relevant and applicable method.
